NCC

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the largest uniformed youth organization in India. It was established on 15 July 1948 under the National Cadet Corps Act of 1948, soon after India gained independence. The NCC was formed with the aim of developing character, discipline, leadership, and a spirit of service among young students.

Originally raised to provide trained youth for the defence forces, the NCC has evolved into a dynamic organization that motivates young people to become responsible citizens of the nation. Today, NCC is open to students from schools and colleges across India and functions under the Ministry of Defence. The motto of NCC, “Unity and Discipline”, reflects its core values and mission.
